In August 2009, we decided to put our dreams into action. HomeGrownCycles (co-owners Alan & Melanie, accountant Ben, & networker Justin) was born. We started from the ground up: printed a few flyers & business cards & distributed them at the local coffee shop & a few other nearby businesses in the neighborhood. We offer free Pickup service to Royal Oak, Berkley, Birmingham, Ferndale, Plesant Ridge, and Huntington Woods. Our business started out, & continues to grow, by word of mouth, referrals from happy customers and such. The money we received from our customers has been put directly back in to the company: tools, parts to have on hand, etc.

We are a mobile bicycle repair service. We specialize in repairs, tune-ups, & restorations. We offer free local pick-up and delivery and are a community based, environmentally conscious business. Our 1988 Chevy Step Van, affectionately known as “Big Yellow,” is used as a pick-up & delivery vehicle as well as a mobile bike shop.
